Welcome to Aeroclub Mesogeion web site! Our club was founded in December of 1999 by those who love motion into 3-D space, flight, and freedom!

Our Aeroclub is a member of Hellinic Aerosport Assosiation, is under HCAA (Hellinic Civil Aviation Authority) and has become a JAR Registered Training Facility (Licence No: GR-RF-006), providing Private Pilot Licence Training for light aeroplanes. Aeroclub Mesogeion (350 members till now) is one of the most active clubs in Athens: By this moment, the fleet consists of 2 Cessna 172, and one Piper Seneca II, while training stuff comprises of 13 Flight and Ground Instructors. During last years thousands flights, long distance trips in Greece and abroad (Belgium, Holland, Turkey etc.), participations in Rallies (Volos, Polykastro, Tatoi) and many more activities have been done, while tens of students graduated from our school, now some of them being commercial pilots/trainers!

Remarks:
-Student pilots receive all school training manuals - questionnaries in a DVD both in English and Greek language
-Ground training is not mandatory (cost 7eu/h)
-Participation in school tests (computer based, like official exams at HCAA) is mandatory (no cost)
-Ground and flying training are executed at DEKELEIA / TATOI airfield
-For PPL holders that want to fly more than 10 hours per year, special offers are applicable (Hour built). Contact us for details.

December 2000:	Obtaining a Cessna 150E 2-seat single engine piston aeroplane.
April 2001:	Flights at Hellinikon (LGAT) Airport in Athens
July-September 2001:	Participation to the Forest-Protection Program
April 2002:	Flights at Dekeleia-Tatoi Military Airport with C150E, Attiki
February 2004:	Training activities started at Tatoi airport
April 2004:	Obtaining a Cessna 172M 4-seat single engine piston aeroplane
September 2005:	A PIPER SENECA II PA 34-200T172M becomes part of our fleet
October 2005:	The 1st JAR PPL(A) student pilot graduates from Aeroclub Mesogeion Registered Training Facility
October 2009:	One more Cessna 172M becomes part of our fleet
July 2010:	VFR Night flights started

In order to promote General Aviation and Flying Spirit we decided to construct this web site through which a web-user can find info about the the members and the administration of our club, the memorandum, the activities, our aeroplanes, PPL training, news, events, aerodromes and weather. In addition, our web site is full of photos and aviation links. You can also download air-videos and many pics from the ferry flight of our first C172 from Belgium to Greece as well as from the ferry flight of our second C172 from Holland to Greece.
